KC CHAPTER WALK/RUN June 13, 2009
We met at Swope Park to do a Walk/Run. Brandi Fischer and Elizabeth Clark were well organized. About 30 people either walked or ran the 5k course. Parking was convenient and the pavilion was a good place to serve the food.
Brandi and Elizabeth had obtained prizes; Target donated gift cards; they were especially appreciated by the winners.
Bagels and cream cheese were donated by a grocery store and bottles of water were donated by CVS.
Mr. & Mrs. Rizzo, (Mr. Rizzo is a WG patient) attended.
The following members of the KC Chapter attended: (to the best of my ability to get their names): Bob and Sharon Schoonover, Mary Ann Quick, Judy Blankenship, Brandi and her parents, Sandi and Tim, Angie Wright, MD and her Dad, Chad Gratton, Brandi’s friend, Elizabeth Clark, Arlene Kullman, Bill Spink, Tish Varraveto,
Mary Ann Quick was in charge of the registration fees.
Donations amounted to $$2,688,00.
