Dr. Jeremy Stevenson, psychologist from University of Kansas Medical
Center, presented a program on Living with a Chronic Condition. He concluded by answering questions from the
audience.
Denny Hale, current support group leader, reminded everyone that May was
National Vasculitis Awareness Month. He
showed Vasculitius Foundation brochures that included labels with KC Vasculitis
Support Group information. Some of the
brochures had been distributed to physician clinic offices. He asked attendees to take some of the
brochures to their physician's offices.
Joyce Kullman, Executive Director of the Vasculitis Foundation,
announced that registration opens Monday, May 16th for the Kansas City
Vasculitis Regional Symposium Educational Conference to be held August 6, 2016
at the KU Edwards Campus, BEST Building, 12600 Quivira Rd., Overland Park,
KS. Registration deadline will be July
29th. Denny and Joyce talked about the
agenda for the one day regional conference.
Denny asked for volunteers to moderate the diagnosis specific break out
sessions.
Attendees were asked to introduce themselves and provide a brief update
on their vasculitis status.
