Our group will hold its first meeting of 2010 on Saturday, March 13, from 1pm to 3pm at St. Lukes Hospital, 4401 Wornall Road in Kansas City, Missouri. The meeting room is the Fountain Dining Room adjacent to the cafeteria on level B2. Parking in the hospital garage is free on Saturdays. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Ann Warner. Dr. Warner graduated from KU Medical School, and did her residency and fellowship at St Luke's and KU Med, respectively. She has been practicing rheumatology for 20 years in KC.
First, and foremost we are a support group. We talk freely about our various illnesses, their treatments, and our progress in fighting vasculitis disease. We also discuss current thinking about treatment options. We try to find speakers who can talk with us about nutrition, exercise, hearing, and other aspects of our various diseases & symptoms.
All who have an interest are invited. There are no fees or collections taken. We are a volunteer organization who share a class of diseases of special concern.
